(1975-1997)
On Saturday, August 16, Munish Bazaz, son of Mr. & Mrs. Avtar and Aruna Bazaz of Novi, Michigan., died by accidental drowning. Munish, 22 years old, was a student
at General Motors Institute (GMI) and was to graduate in about two weeks.
About 40 graduating seniors from GMI were on a field trip when the canoe
Munish was in got trapped in a strong under surface whirlpool and capsized.
This happened on Satureday, 8/16 evening. (The body was recovered on
8/17). Funeral services were held on 8/19.
With deep feelings of sorrow and grief I have to inform the Kashmiri
biradri about this accidental drowning death. Let us all pray for the Bazaz family in their time of grief.
