| ReligionThe religious practices of Hindus of Kashmir (popularly known as Kashmiri Pandits) revolve around the worship of Shiva and Shakti. All other deities (gods and goddesses) of the traditional Hindu pantheon are worshipped as various manifestations of Shiva and Shakti. Shiva is the Supreme Lord of the universe and Shakti, the Universal Mother Goddess, is his eternal companion.

Sh.R.K. Bharati An eminent journalist and translator, Sh. R.K. Bharati worked as a teacher.it is said that he had visualised separate homeland for Kashmiri Pandits in an article written in 1960s.His work for Zamindar Association was commendable and yielded some benefits for Kashmiri Pandits which were otherwise denied to them. He was well known for his satirical capabilities and poetry which had kashmiri folk touch.

Sharada - Goddess of Learning Goddess of Learning SHARADA, the Presiding Deity of SHARADA PEETH (Kashmir). Annual festival GAURI TRITIYA falls on Magha Shukla Tritya, usually in the month of February. On this day family Guru presents a picture of Sharada to the children and blesses them.
