P.N. Kachru
Mr. Kachru is an artist of national repute. He
has held many exhibitions of his art and paintings at various places, in the
country including the national capital, New Delhi. He has participated and
presented papers on Kashmiri art and culture in several national seminars.
Currently, he is working as the Treasurer of N.S. Kashmir Research Institute,
New Delhi, of which he is a founder member. He is greatly interested in Kashmiri

h."Stein's search for Codex Archetypus" - the paper was read out by the author on the occasion of Remembering Sir Aurel Stein. The seminar-cum-exhibition of documents, photographs, books and original letters (with special reference to Kashmiri scholars and friends) was organised jointly by Nityanand Shastri Kashmir Research Institute and the Hungarian Information and Cultural Centre, on November 16, 1998 at 1-A, Janpath, New Delhi.
The function was inaugurated by the reputed scholar and Indologist Dr. Lokesh Chandra and addressed by H.E. Andras Dallos, the Ambassador of Hungary in India.
i. "Dal Lake - the dying heritage" - the paper was read out by the author at the International Meet on the Shared Social Ecology of the Seven Himalayan Countries, held on 26th to 28th November 1998 the meet was organised by Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya (National Museum of Mankind) and inaugurated by H.E. the Governor of Madhya Pradesh, India. The countries which participated were Pakistan, Nepal, Bhutan, China, Myanmar and Bangladesh.The venue of the meet: Avritti Bhawan, the National Museum of Mankind, Lakeside, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh (India).
j. "Lal Ded and Kashmiri Chroniclers" - the paper was read in the national seminar organised by Kashmir Education, Culture and Science Society, B-36, Pamposh Enclave, Greater Kailash - I, New Delhi - 110048, held on 12th November, 2000.
k. "Kashmir's Contribution to Pahari Art Movement" - the paper was presented on 27th February, 2001 in the Conference Hall, Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts, New Delhi.
Also, the paper was presented in the International seminar on Cultural Heritage of Indian Himalaya, 3-5 March 2001, at Bhopal (M.P.), jointly organised by the Himalayan Reseach and Cultural Foundation and Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manava Sangrahalaya (the Museum of Mankind): Venue of the seminar - Avritti Complex, Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manava Sangrahalaya, Shamla Hills, Bhopal.
