About The Event
Batt Koch (translated as “the lane where Kashmiri Pandits live”) is a film about intergenerational memory and the enduring connection to a land once called home.
It tells a story steeped in the quiet agony of a community forced to leave its home decades ago, under the shadow of terrorism and with little hope of return. Without delving into the politics or religious ideologies that formed the backdrop, the film offers a deeply human portrayal of how, even two generations later, people continue to come to terms with that loss.
History has taught us that what truly matters is recognizing the human story—and embracing our shared responsibility to reject anything that threatens peaceful coexistence.
