KOA Scholarships 2026–27: Applications Now Open

Kashmiri Overseas Association (KOA), USA, in collaboration with Sharika Foundation Charitable Trust, invites applications for its Sponsor a Child (SAC) and Education Assistance Program (EAP) scholarships for 2026–27.


Scholarship selection balances academic merit, financial circumstances, and family situation, including orphanhood. Recognition in sports and cultural activities will also be considered.


Applications are now open through November 15, 2026.


All new and continuing applicants must submit their applications and required documents online. Paper applications will not be distributed or accepted.


Eligibility


Students from Kashmiri Pandit families internally displaced from the Kashmir Valley, as well as non-migrant families still residing in the Valley, are eligible.


  • Sponsor a Child (SAC): For school-going students.


  • Education Assistance Program (EAP): Applicants must be enrolled in professional training institutions in India and belong to the internally displaced Kashmiri Hindu community from the Kashmir Valley.


By applying, applicants acknowledge and consent to the publication of scholarship recipients’ names.


How to Apply


  1. Choose the appropriate application link:

  2. Sign in using your Gmail account. Each child applying from the same family must use a separate Gmail account.


  3. Select your applicant category:

    • New Student: Select this option if you are applying for the first time.

    • Continuing Student: Select this option if you received a KOA scholarship in 2025–26, and enter your existing SAC or EAP number.


  4. Complete all required fields, upload the supporting documents, and submit your application by November 15, 2026.


Continuing students: If your email address has changed, please inform the support team immediately.


Information to Keep Ready


Please gather the following information before starting your application. Incomplete applications or forms with required fields left blank cannot be submitted.


Personal Information

  • Student’s name and date of birth

  • Academic marks obtained to date, (Class 11 onwards for EAP applicants)

  • Parents’ names, employment details, and employer information

  • Mobile contact numbers—preferably two

  • Email address

  • Residential address

  • Sibling details


School or Institute Information

  • School or institute name and address

  • School or institute telephone number and email address

  • Academic marks obtained


Bank Information

  • Applicant’s name as recorded in the bank account

  • Bank name and branch location

  • Account number

  • Branch IFSC/RTGS code

  • Branch SWIFT code


Required Documents

  • Recent color photograph of the student

  • Proof of admission or a bonafide certificate from the school or institute

  • Migrant ration card for migrant students, or ration card for students residing in the Valley

  • Income certificates from employers for working parents. Parents solely dependent on relief must provide a self-attested certificate or declaration.

  • Marksheet for the academic year 2025–26. Do not submit older marksheets.

  • Student’s Aadhaar card as identity and address proof

  • Any additional supporting documents, uploaded under “Miscellaneous”


Continuing students must enter their existing SAC or EAP number.


Entering Academic History


  • SAC applicants: Enter academic details from Class 1 through the current class. Enter “NA” for classes that do not apply.

  • EAP applicants: Enter academic details from the first year through the current year of study.

KOA has partnered with Sharda Institute of Computer Education (Sanjeevani Shardha Kenra) and Helpline Humanity to help applicants complete their forms and upload documents free of charge.
