Mr. Ashok Dhar
Date of passing: 2026-09-14

ॐ शांति शांति शांति
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Ashok Dhar, who left for his heavenly abode on Sep 14, 2026.
Ashok was a pillar of his community: a devoted family man, engineer, entrepreneur, investor, mentor, and true Silicon Valley thinker at heart.
While his career was spent building companies and products, his true passion was always people: supporting others, creating space for them to grow, sharing his knowledge, and helping young minds find their path.
Ashok was a dreamer. He believed in possibility, in the power of an idea, and in being brave (and maybe even crazy) enough to pursue it.
If he could leave everyone reading this with one final message, it would be this:
Keep dreaming. And then, dream bigger.
A memorial service to celebrate Ashok’s life will be held on Friday, September 18, at 11:30 AM at:
615 N Santa Cruz Ave
Los Gatos, CA

Om Shanti Om🙏🏼Deepest condolences may god give strength to Pushpa ji & family.
I am deeply heartbroken to hear about Uncle’s passing. When I first moved to the Bay Area, him and Aunty were the very first family to offer warm community welcome. Over the years, Uncle became so much more than a friend to me—he was a father figure, a mentor, and a constant source of inspiration.
I will always be profoundly grateful for how Uncle who constantly pushed me to take on community initiatives. Whenever I hesitated or doubted myself in any decision, Uncle was always there with an open heart, ready to lift me up with his deeply encouraging words.
Looking back, Uncle was a part of many major milestones in my life. From welcoming first time in 2008, then welcoming me back to the Bay Area after my marriage, to celebrating the births of both of my children, and cheering on my career growth, his presence made those moments even more special.
I am forever in debt to Uncle's open heart and his Texas-sized kindness. His legacy lives on in the Aunty, Meghana and the community he helped build and in the lives of everyone he touched so deeply, including my own. Please know that I am here for you, Auntie and Meghana, just as you and Uncle always were for me!
Regards,
Deepali and Raj
It is hard to find the right words when someone who has meant so much to us is no longer with us. Ashok ji was truly one of those special people who quietly made a difference wherever he went.
For me, and for many of us in the Bay Area, Ashok ji and Pushpa ji have been pillars of our community and KOA. Through their time, energy, love, and wisdom, they brought people together and helped create a stronger sense of belonging for everyone around them.
I feel especially blessed to have known Ashok ji. I will always remember his kindness, his guidance, and the way he encouraged me to step forward and serve our KOA community. His words and faith in me have stayed with me, and I will always be deeply grateful for his support and encouragement.
Ashok ji will be profoundly missed, not only by his family, but by all those whose lives he touched. His legacy of service, compassion, and community will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
Keeping Pushpa ji, Meghana, and the entire family close in our thoughts and prayers. May they find strength and solace in the incredible love, respect, and affection that surrounds them during this difficult time.
ॐ शांति शांति शांति
