It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Roshan Lal Kaul, who left for his heavenly abode on Aug 12, 2026.
On behalf of KOA, we extend our heartfelt condolences and prayers to the bereaved family during this time of profound loss and remembrance. May they find strength in one another, comfort in the love and support of the community, and peace in the cherished memories that will forever remain in their hearts.
He is survived by his wife of over 57 years Kaki Kaul, sons Ashwani Kaul ( wife Mona Bhan) of Southborough, MA, and Avinash Kaul ( wife Vaishali Kaul) of Mumbai, and his grandchildren Anaya, Anavi, Mila and Arav. He is also survived by his brother Virendra ( wife Shanta) Kaul and sister Santosh ( husband Jawahar) Kaul and many nieces and nephews and extended family members. Roshan Lal was born and raised in Srinagar. Originally from Chattabal and then Baghat Barzulla Srinagar.
He studied Agriculture and worked in Kashmir as a Block Development officer. He was married to his loving and most devoted wife Kaki Kaul for over 5 decades. Together they had two sons- Ashwani and Avinash. They moved to Jammu after migration. Roshan Lal was known for his love of conversation. He was a very animated speaker always ready to share his stories and jokes. He. along with his wife, was a devotee of Satya Sai Baba and spent countless hours performing Seva in Jammu, Puttaparthi and in the US. He was a doting grandfather and had a very close relationship with his granddaughters Anaya and Mila. He will be remembered for his joy, smiles and laughter he spread wherever he went. His love and warmth was felt by all who had the pleasure to meet him.
