Date of passing: 2026-03-20

Susheela "Rani" Kaul

Namaskar!

ॐ शांति शांति शांति

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Susheela "Rani" Kaul, who left for her heavenly abode on March 20th, 2026.

On behalf of KOA, we extend our heartfelt condolences and prayers to the bereaved family during this time of profound loss and remembrance. May they find strength in one another, comfort in the love and support of the community, and peace in the cherished memories that will forever remain in their hearts.

In Loving Memory of Our Beloved Mummy – “Rani”

Susheela “Rani” Kaul passed away peacefully on March 20th at the age of 86, after a brief bout with illness, having lived a life rich in love, laughter, and purpose.

Lovingly known as Rani, she truly lived her life like one.

Not with pride -though she had every reason to be proud -but with humility, grace, and an unwavering commitment to care for everyone around her. She embraced family, extended family, and friends alike into her fold, ensuring no one ever felt they lacked love, warmth, or belonging.

A devoted housewife, she was larger than life in the quietest, and most meaningful ways. She left a lasting mark on every life she touched — through her kindness, her strength, and her boundless love. She lived a fulfilled and blessed life, always surrounded by family, watching generations grow and flourish.

She now joins her soulmate of nearly 70 years, her beloved husband, Girdhari Lal “Boyi Toath” Kaul, who left this world on December 31, 2025. After spending almost every day of the last 70 years together, she could not bear to stay away from Daddy for more than 79 days. Their love for each other is a true inspiration for all of us and for everyone who came to know them.

Together, they were the foundation of our family — a perfect balance of love, strength, grace, and guidance. Today, we find comfort in knowing that they are reunited, smiling down upon us, and blessing us with their boundless love and joy.

She will always remain in our hearts — our guiding light, our strength, our Rani!

We deeply miss you, Mummy and Daddy, beyond words! Your values, love, and legacy will live on forever through us and through generations to come.

Lovingly cherished by:

Dear Rajan, Venna and rest of the family. Our deepest condolences for the loss of dear Mummy. Loss of a Mother is a particularly hard blow. Praying for you all to have the courage to bear the loss.

She is in a better place - as you said she could not stay without Daddy and quickly proceeded to join him in their heavenly abode - may their pair remain united in Vaikunth Dham for eternity.

We will always fondly cherish the memories of the good times we spent together with them in Chandigarh and several times in the SF Bay Area. We were particularly close due to our common origins in Kashmir and due to the guidance and leadership Daddy provided to to us in order to give succor and relief during the 1990 KP exodus to Chandigarh.
